How Can I Know If I Have CKD

High-risk group of CKD including: people who have hypertension, hyperglycaemia and hyperlipemia; have a family history of CKD; kidney impairment caused by taking drugs; contact with heavy metals or organic solvents; smokers; women who get urinary tract infection repeatedly or men with prostatitis.
If you want an early detection of the disease, you should do as the following:
·Check the urine
Check the color urine: the normal urine is light yellow and it’s very clear. If the urine is white, has precipitate, and may have bubbles in it, this is called proteinuria. If the color of the urine is like meat washing water, this is called hematuria. The patients should pay fully attention to the proteinuria or hematuria, and make further examinations.
·Check the eyes and feet
If your eyes swelled when get up but are normal in the afternoon, but your feet begin to swell, this is typical symptoms of CKD.
·Hematuria Examination
Eye observation is only a preliminary judgment, but the test of urine and hematuria in the professional experiment is the accurate one. Urinalysis is one of the most common and convenient tests, it can help to know your kidney condition. Microalbuminuria test is one of the sensitive indexes in judging early renal damage. Creatinine, uric acid, and uric acid nitrogen are important reference data for evaluation of renal function. It makes correct estimate of renal function by blood and urine tests.
For most people, they should do blood and urine tests once a year, and measure blood pressure normally. But the CKD high-risk groups should examine twice a year. The CKD patients should examine once a month or more.
·B-scan ultrasonography
It can further diagnose the disease; check the kidney’s size and shape, or if there is uronephrosis, kidney stone or tumor lesions etc.
The CKD is curable, early diagnosis and treatment is very crucial. In addition, pay attention to diet and do not overeat. It is important not to increase the burden to kidney.
