Dialysis also can be called artificial kidney because it can replace kidneys to do some of kidney works. The whole process that dialysis clear wastes away from the blood is done outside the body, and this needs renal failure patient's blood flow out through pipe. So inserting fistula is one of the indispensible preparations for dialysis treatment.
For people with dialysis, their fistula can be inserted in forearm, upper chest, neck and even upper thighs.
